Kuda Bux Goes for a Drive

Kuda Bux (Kuda Bukhsh, 1905-1981) performs on You Asked For It, hosted by Art Baker. 

In this demonstration, Bux is blindfolded with an elaborate system of dough, cotton wool, a bandage and handkerchiefs. Yet he demonstrates he can see just as well as any of us by driving a card down the streets of Santa Monica, CA. The assistant in the demonstrations is Tom McDermott, mayor of Santa Monica from 1935-1955.

You Asked For It was a program which aired from 1950-1959 where audience members wrote in requests for strange things they wanted to see on television and producers would recruit performers to answer those requests.
