Here we go!

Here is the first of five Allan Slaight Award categories that we proudly announce on behalf of the Slaight Family Foundation. Every day this week we will release a new name for each category, and we begin with the 2019 Canadian Rising Star. 

This award acknowledges outstanding work by an emerging Canadian magician and it comes with an engraved iPad, and a prize of $5,000 from the Slaight Family Foundation. Past recipients of this award include Mahdi Gilbert, Luc Langevin, Eric Leclerc and Nick Wallace.

We are thrilled to add CARISA HENDRIX to the list! Watch the video above to learn more about this bright and beautiful magician.

A Magical Acquisition

In a landmark moment for the scholarly study of magic, Indiana University’s Lilly Library has announced the acquisition of the David Ben Magic Collection. The Lilly Library is one of the nation’s preeminent rare books, manuscripts, and special collections libraries.
