Continuing to unearth material from the William McIlhany Collection, we have a wonderful treat: a rare performance from Sid Lorraine.
Sid was a prolific writer and was a regular contributor to many magic periodicals over a period of decades. But we have relatively little video footage of him performing. (There is one other appearance in the Screening Room). This was recorded at an IBM Convention in Buffalo. He is demonstrating “double talk” – essentially a comedy monologue with nonsense words sprinkled in throughout the presentation.
We sincerely regret that the recording ends abruptly and we will never know what it was that the people in the back couldn’t see.
